Biography
Evgeniya Alekseeva was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She started singing at the age of 5, and her parents decided to enroll her in a music school where she studied for 10 years and learned classical and popular singing with a professor Larisa Stadnichenko, People’s Artist of Ukraine.
During her studies, she participated in numerous festivals and won several singing competitions. At the age of 17, Evgeniya entered the Odessa National Conservatory where she continued to learn classical singing, dancing and drama. Recently, Evgeniya moved to Montreal where she completed her studies at University of Montreal. She takes classes with famous singers such as Natalie Choquette, Aline Kutan, Anait Khamroian.
Every year, she performs at the Ukrainian and Italian festivals as a guest artist. She performs with classical musicians in Montreal, violinist Sergei Trofanov and pianist Olga Trofanova. She is also lead singer in the Circus Musical Show, produced by Vladislav Zolotarev, an artist from Cirque du Soleil.
Evgeniya’s sweet, lifting soprano voice will captivate you from the very first notes. Her wide-ranging repertoire includes classical arias, jazz standards, movie scores, pieces from musicals and much more.
